In December, the competition of the Polish Mineralogical Society for the best MA and PhD theses in the field of mineralogy (mineralogy, geochemistry, petrology, applied and environmental mineralogy and geochemistry) was resolved. The official results were announced during the general meeting of PTMin members on December, 17, 2021.
The award in the category of PhD thesis was received by our employee, dr. Arkadiusz Krzątała, for the work “New and rare minerals from the paralava of the Hatrurim Basin, Israel” realized at the Institute of Earth Sciences, University of Silesia in Katowice. The PhD thesis supervisor was prof. dr hab. Irina O. Galuskina.
