Insurance
In Poland people employed on the basis of employment contract have 4 compulsory contributions that are deducted from your remuneration automatically by the employer:
- Healthcare contribution- provides payment in the case of sick leave (80% of your base remuneration) or parental leave,
- Disability pension contribution – guarantees disability allowances in the event of loss of a long-term inability to work,
- Old-age pension insurance contribution – provides income during retirement period,
- Work accident insurance contribution- provides compensation if an accident will happen to you at work or on the way to and from work.
