Profil Zaufany- The „Trusted Profile”
A trusted profile allows you to, among others:
- get an electronic signature
- report using your driving licence
- apply for the electronic ID
- submit a complain about a lack of architectural adjustments for people with disabilities
- remove your name from the register of the place of residence
The “Trusted Profile” (Polish: Profil Zaufany) is an online tool which allows the user to confirm their identity in the internet and conduct many official matters online without visiting institutions personally. It is valid for 3 years.
In order to use it you need to have an account on the website pz.gov.pl In order to create an account the PESEL number is needed. When you enter the above website you will see that it is possible to set up an account with the help of some of the banks: Alior, Pekao, BOŚ, Millenium, Getin, Envelo, Crédit Agricole, BNP Paribas, ING, PKO, BS Brodnica, Santander, mBank, Inteligo, or BPS if you have a bank account in these banks. If not – you will have to confirm your identity in person in one of the places defined on the website, within 14 days from the day of filling in the online form. In such case you need to go to the bottom of the page and select the option: “Załóż Profil Zaufany i potwierdź W PUNKCIE POTWIERDZAJĄCYM”.
The page is only available in Polish, but you can use Google translate to help you understand the form. It is important that after creating the account you remember your login and password and never share it with anyone as it could be used in a harmful way.
