Consolidation of research and development potential and competencies in microscopic research
We operate as an interdepartmental organisational unit of the University of Silesia. We specialise in the correlational study of matter, especially ‘soft matter’, using microscopic methods.
Our laboratories are fitted out to meet the requirements of the latest electron and atomic force microscopes. Our new premises are available for teaching, scientific and R&D work, as well as for providing services and developing projects.

Project Information
The project ‘Construction of the Centre for Microscopic Investigation of Matter (CMBM SPIN-Lab)’ No: UDA – RPSL.01.01.00-24-043H/19-00 was funded by the Regional Operational Programme of the Śląskie Voivodeship for 2014-2020 (Measure 1.1. Key research infrastructure for the region. Priority Axis 1: ‘Modern economy’). The total value of the project is PLN 31,539,791.67 (co-funding PLN 26,596,797.01).
