We are thrilled to announce that MSc Eng. Jolanta Rajca from the SPIN-Lab Centre for Microscopic Research on Matter has received funding of 209,574 PLN in the PRELUDIUM 24 competition for the implementation of the project titled “New morphological and nanobiomechanical factors of bone influencing the growth of the cranial vault in children with rare cranial defects.”
As part of the three-year study, bone samples obtained during surgical procedures will be analysed, and key measurements will be carried out using advanced imaging methods — AFM, SEM, and micro-CT — at the SPIN-Lab headquarters.
The project aims to deepen knowledge about craniosynostosis and support the development of modern standards in craniofacial surgery. We extend our congratulations and wish her success in carrying out this undertaking.
