SPIN-Lab Centre for Microscopic Research on Matter is pleased to invite you to the “Microscopy Training for the Doctoral School”, which will take place on March 30, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the center’s headquarters in Chorzów (75 Pułku Piechoty 1A, 41-500 Chorzów).
During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with selected microscopy techniques, including:
- confocal microscopy,
- X-ray microtomography,
- transmission electron microscopy (TEM),
- scanning electron microscopy (SEM), along with modules such as: focused ion beam (FIB), Raman spectroscopy, EDS, and WDS
The sessions will be conducted in small groups of six participants, allowing for direct interaction with the equipment and open discussion with the instructors. Participants will learn the physical principles behind the presented techniques and how to apply them in their doctoral research projects.
