How important is the knowledge about diseases of dinosaurs and other Mesozoic reptiles for modern biology, ecology, veterinary and human medicine? Can studies of malady traces in the prehistoric inhabitants of Our Planet bring clues about evolutionary prospects of the diseases striking humans and animals today and in the future? The answer is yes, according to the Intelligent Development Centre interested in innovation in science as well as promotion and strengthening of the personal image and performed studies of the young generation’s outstanding researchers. The Centre nominated Dr. Dawid Surmik (INoZ, WNP) for the Scientist of the Future 2021 prize in the “Science for a better life in the future” category for his project “Osteopathologies in the fossil record as a vector of paleoecological and paleoepidemiological information” financed by the National Science Centre and executed at Our University. Congratulations and further success!
