– Alumna of the Faculty of Rhythmics at Karol Szymanowski Musical High School in Katowice

– 1990 Master of Arts in pedagogy, major: early school pedagogy, University of Silesia

– 1994 PhD in literature, Faculty of Philology, University of Silesia

– 2006 Associate professor of social studies, Adam Mickiewicz University in POznań, Faculty of Educational Sciences

– 2015 Professor of social sciences (nomination from the President of Poland June 23, 2015)

– Since 2010 Expert for Polish Commission of Accreditation

– 2020-2023 Member of the Section for Elementary Education at the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences, Polish Academy of Sciences

Research

– Upbringing and education of a little child, especially contact with art and literature, music, film, theater, and dance in receptive and creative-expressive dimensions

– Intersemiotic translation and space visualization

– Workshops in expressive bibliotherapy and paratheatrical techniques

– Author of kinesthetic method of poetry interpretation used in education

– Author of visualizing theatre of movement

– Author of one teachers’ manual and one standardized diagnostic tool: „The Scale of Creative and Reproductive Attitudes” (Ministry of National Education, Kraków 2011).

– Author of 179 articles and book chapters in Polish and other congress languages

– Author of the conception of the degree program in art therapy (held at various higher education institutions). 2016-2019 coordinator of the program. The program was certified as “Studies for the Future” by the Fundacja Rozwoju Edukacji i Szkolnictwa Wyższego in 2020 and was granted an award “Laurel of Innovation”

– Rector’s First Degree Award for scientific-research activity (2007, 2016). Rector’s Second Degree Award in 1994; 1998; 2000; 2002; 2005; 2008; 2017 and Third Degree Award in 2009 and 2014

– 2006 Medal of the Commission of National Education

– 2008 Silver Badge of Merit for the service for the University of Silesia
