Art Therapy, first-cycle studies

Language of instruction: Polish

Art therapy is a form of therapy that uses art to help people with various disabilities and disorders in social, emotional, mental or educational functioning.  During your studies, you will learn how to conduct revalidation, rehabilitation and re-education using music, drawing, sculpture, performance, literature or dance. You will acquire teaching qualifications and basic psychotherapeutic competencies. You will also learn about special education, psychopathology and clinical psychology. Thanks to this, you will be able to work with patients and pupils during art therapy sessions, by selecting appropriate methods of therapy for people with specific disorders or dysfunctions.

You will also be able to create original, interdisciplinary art therapy projects.

Thanks to this, you can apply for a job in: 

  • hospital wards, 
  • health resorts (sanatoriums), 
  • daycare facilities, 
  • social care home, 
  • social therapy centres, 
  • occupational therapy workshops, 
  • integration centres and other institutions providing art therapy sessions. 

 

You will also be able to continue your education at Master’s degree studies.
