The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree BIOPHAM (BIO&PHArmaceutical Materials science) is a two-year (120 ECTS) master program entirely taught in English and jointly operated by the University of Lille (France), the University of Pisa (Italy), the University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland) and the Polytechnic University of Catalunya in Barcelona (Spain).

The BIOPHAM Master aims to meet international demand for qualified graduates with theoretical and applied high-level training in materials science, physics/chemistry of materials, and their applications to pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals.
BIOPHAM benefits from the involvement of an extensive international network of companies, large-scale facilities, and associated Universities.

The first call for application with scholarship is open until February 11th, 2024 – 23:59 Brussels time. Admission decision (pending completion of Bachelor’s Degree): April 3rd, 2024 – 12:00 Brussels time. Start of the Master program: Beginning of September 2024

By applying to the BIOPHAM Master during the first call, the students automatically apply for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) Scholarship.

As scholarship holders, the students are provided with :

  • 1 000€/month as a living allowance for the entire duration of the programme
  • 1 000€ as a contribution to installation costs
  • 2 000€/year if the place of residence is less than 4 000 km from BioPham coordinator (University of Lille)
  • 3 000€/year if the place of residence is more than 4 000 km from BioPham coordinator (University of Lille)
