E.MA is a unique master’s program of the highest prestige, during which students have the opportunity to conduct studies on the theory and practice of human rights. The program has been running for more than 20 years in Venice and at 43 European Union universities, as well as during field missions. The E.MA program offers the opportunity to learn about human rights, democratic processes and international relations from the perspectives of law, political science, history, anthropology and philosophy.
During the first semester held in Venice, students take classes taught by prominent scholars and experts from around the world, as well as officials from international organizations such as the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe and the European Union. After completing the first semester in a multicultural environment, program participants transfer to a European university, where they prepare a thesis.
The E.MA degree program is crowned with a globally unique European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratization, currently awarded jointly by 7 universities.
The best graduates can count on prestigious internships at the office of the Council of the European Union delegation and the European Commission to the United Nations in Geneva and New York. Other outstanding winners of the E.MA program are offered internships at the institutions of the European Union, the Council of Europe, the OSCE and prominent international NGOs.
The E.MA program is organized by the Global Campus of Human Rights, and in Poland it is coordinated by A. Mickiewicz University in Poznan in cooperation with the Poznan Center for Human Rights. Global Campus of Human Rights (GC) is the largest organization of universities in the world – 100 universities operating in 7 Educational Programs around the globe.
