The Thermal Research Laboratory conducts thermal analysis of ceramic precursor powders and ceramic powders after synthesis. Thermal analysis is a set of methods designed to measure a selected physical property as a function of temperature or time, assuming that the temperature of a substance changes according to a controlled program. The MOM Q-1500D derivatograph allows for the simultaneous recording of mass loss (TG) and thermal effects (DTA) occurring during linear heating of a sample containing the powder of the material being tested.
The laboratory also conducts classes in Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Ceramic Biomaterials, and Materials and Materials Technologies.
Workshop equipment:
- Derivatograph MOM Q-1500D
- Analytical balance Radwag PS1000.R2
- Analytical balance Radwag PS360/C/1
