The Ceramics Technology Laboratory conducts technological work related to the production of ceramic materials (samples and layers) using wet chemical methods (sol-gel, gel-combustion) and the preparation of precursor materials for the production of ceramics using solid-state chemical reactions. The laboratory is also equipped with equipment and devices for direct current anodizing and pulse anodizing, which produce coatings on the surfaces of metal alloys. The workshop also offers classes in Chemistry, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Ceramic Biomaterials, Materials and Material Technologies, as well as classes for young people as part of the Π Number Festival, the Mechatronics Open Day, and Education for the Future.

Workshop equipment:

  • Spin coating device with a hot plate for producing thin films on a flat substrate
  • Magnetic stirrer with a hot plate for producing and homogenizing solutions and sols using the sol-gel and gel-self-combustion methods
  • Radwag WPA60 Analytical Balance
  • MPW-302 Homogenizer
  • Switched-Mode Power Supply for DC and Pulse Anodizing
  • GPR-25H30D Laboratory DC Power Supply for DC and Pulse Anodizing

Lab manager:
