The main responsibilities of the Department of Personnel and Social Affairs include:

In the area of employment and personnel matters:

• managing matters related to establishing, continuing and terminating employment of the University Staff,
• determining employees’ remuneration-related entitlements, such as long-service awards, seniority allowances, additional annual remuneration, etc., and preparing the relevant documentation
• preparing all documents related to the course of employment (maternity leave, parental leave, unpaid leave, issuing employment certificates, etc.)
• registering all employee absences, including annual leave and other types of leave,
• handling matters related to employee pensions and disability benefits,
• management of the employee pension scheme
• exercising  supervision over the use of annual leaves.

Projects Department provides support related to:

• searching for, collecting, and disseminating knowledge and information about external funding sources dedicated to higher education, supporting research, teaching, and the University’s third mission activities among the academic community;
• organising training sessions, workshops, and information meetings for the University staff, as well as providing individual consultations on obtaining external funding and implementing funded projects;
• cooperation in and supervision of the preparation of applications for external funding for research and educational projects/grants, as well as research and implementation projects, investment projects and other types of projects, including:
  • cooperation in the development and verification of documents at the preparation stage in terms of compliance with the guidelines provided by the funding institutions organising calls for proposals;
  • participation in preparation of the formal sections of applications for funding;
  • cooperation in preparation and verification of funding applications with regard to the eligibility of costs and their correctness;
• support in project implementation, including the preparation of payment claims, financial reports, and statements related to project implementation, as well as cooperation with project management in this area.
