Political science is a degree programme offered at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia at the 1st and 2nd cycle, both full-time and part-time. Political science is strongly associated with sociology, psychology and law, and the focus is put on politics. These studies prepare students to understand political phenomena and processes occurring on a local, state, regional and global scale. They shape the ability to analyse and evaluate relations and dependencies between the functioning of political institutions, as well as local, regional and international organisations, states, societies and human individuals. During your studies at Political Science, you will gain knowledge on the functioning of the sphere of politics, media and international relations. Both during 1st cycle and 2nd cycle studies you can choose a major that will allow you to deepen your knowledge in the field that interests you the most – Public Administration, Contemporary International Relations, Social Policy.
