Degree Programme Director and Degree Programme Deputy Director: Urban Policies and Public Counselling, Social Work, Sociology decide on:

matters of education, in particular:

  • class schedules and classroom capacities,
  • student registration in USOSweb system for elective courses,
  • exam session schedules;

matters of Rules and Regulations of Studies at the University of Silesia, in particular:

  • appointing year tutors;
  • relating to granting of Individual Adaptation of Studies, Individual Organisation of Studies, and Individual Course of Studies;
  • transferring a student to another programme, major, or to full-time or part-time studies;
  • acknowledging educational outcomes;
  • specifying the differences in curriculum for students resuming studies;
  • agreements on curriculums for students participating in student exchange programmes, including Erasmus+ and MOST programmes;
  • crediting employment as an internship.

In addition the Degree Programme Director: Urban Policies and Public Counselling, Social Work, Sociology and the Degree Programme Deputy Director:

  • approve teaching staff and individual teaching class assignments;
  • coordinate teaching cooperation with external and internal stakeholders;
  • oversee implementation of the procedures specified by the Faculty System for Education Quality Assurance;
  • initiate and coordinate activities for the improvement of the programme curriculum;
  • oversee the content of classes;
  • are responsible for preparing documents for accreditation, in particular for assessments conducted by the Polish Accreditation Committee.
  • cooperate with Plenipotentiaries of the Dean for Student Affairs.
