We are pleased to announce that Dr Argyrios Anagnostopoulos from the Institute of Chemistry has been awarded a scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
Dr. Argyrios Anagnostopoulos is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Chemistry, University of Silesia in Katowice, specializing in materials engineering with a focus on thermal energy storage and advanced composite materials.
He completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham (UK), where he investigated the thermal behavior of molten salt nanofluids. Following this, he held research fellowships in the UK and later joined the University of Silesia as a postdoctoral fellow through an OPUS programme, working in the Thermodynamics in Action Group – Mirosław Chorążewski research team.
In 2023, he was awarded a SONATA grant from the National Science Centre (NCN) as Principal Investigator to lead a project on nanotechnology-enhanced thermal storage materials.
His research combines experimental and computational methods to develop high-efficiency energy materials, and he is actively involved in international collaborations worldwide.
Congratulations
