Quality Control of Materials and Product - full-time, master's degree studies

Quality Control of Materials and Product – a program for those who want to understand what the world is truly made of.

In a world where quality translates into competitive advantage, there is a growing demand for specialists capable of assessing every stage of production and ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards. This program educates precisely such experts – professionals who combine technical knowledge with analytical thinking and responsibility for ensuring products are reliable, safe, and in line with market expectations.

During your studies, you will learn modern methods for testing materials and products, learn how to identify nonconformities and assess their impact on quality, and design processes that minimize errors and improve production levels. You will work on real-world examples – in laboratories and industrial-like environments – so that after graduation, you will be ready to work from day one. You will learn how to test materials and products using modern physical and chemical methods, how to assess their properties, detect defects, and analyze their causes.

This program is for those who enjoy combining science with practice – in the laboratory, in industry, in quality control, or in research and development departments. Graduates gain the knowledge necessary to work in materials quality assessment, implementing quality management systems, analyzing technological processes, and interpreting research results and technical audits.

If you’re interested in how modern materials are created and how to make them even better, this program is for you.

About the Quality Control of Materials and Product program About the Quality Control of Materials and Product program

The Quality Control Materials and Product program is designed for those who want to understand how modern industry truly works – from the inside of an aircraft engine to the structure of a microprocessor. This program combines knowledge of modern engineering materials with practical skills in their testing, processing, and quality assessment.

During your studies, you will learn the principles of designing, manufacturing, and testing materials used in industries such as aviation, automotive, electronics, medicine, and many other industries where reliability and precision are paramount. You will also learn how to improve production processes and how to control the quality of finished products to ensure they meet the highest standards.

The curriculum is based on three main pillars:

  • Materials Science – you will learn the structure, properties, and testing methods of various types of materials.
  • Practical skills – you’ll learn metrology, non-destructive testing (NDT), measurement data analysis, and reliability assessment.
  • Managerial competencies – you’ll gain the foundations of quality system organization, technical audits, and industrial certification.

This program combines learning with practice and provides solid preparation for work in modern industry – where quality truly matters.

The program is a second-level (master’s) degree program and lasts three semesters (1.5 years). Enrollment begins in the summer semester.

What do we want to teach you? What do we want to teach you?

In the Materials and Product Quality Control program, you’ll learn not only how to test materials, but above all, how to draw practical conclusions from these tests. You’ll acquire knowledge and skills in modern research methods, measurement result evaluation, and data interpretation in accordance with applicable technical standards and quality systems (such as ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and PN-EN).

The curriculum combines classical materials engineering with modern tools such as technical computer science, image analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and quality and reliability management.

During classes, you’ll work in laboratories and project teams, implementing practical research and development projects in collaboration with industry and certification bodies. This will give you experience that you can easily apply in your future work.

What happens after graduation? What happens after graduation?

A graduate of the Quality Control of Materials and Product program is a specialist combining knowledge in materials science, metrology, and quality management. With the acquired competencies, you can work in areas where precision, technology, and responsibility for product quality are paramount.

After graduation, you will be prepared to:

  • conduct laboratory and industrial research on the properties of materials and products,
  • implement and supervise quality systems in manufacturing companies,
  • work in research laboratories, certification bodies, and R&D centers,
  • manage design and production teams,
  • continue your studies with a doctoral degree in materials science or related fields.

This program is part of the international educational stream known as Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Materials Science and Quality Control. It combines classical knowledge of materials with a modern approach to quality control and production process management.

As a result, our graduates thrive in both the industrial and research sectors – they collaborate with leading companies in Poland and abroad, and their work often contributes to the creation of modern technologies and solutions that transform everyday life.
