Biophysics

Full-time second-cycle studies in Biophysics last 4 semesters (2 years), end with the defence of the thesis and obtaining a Master’s degree in Biophysics. The first 4 semesters of study are common to all majors. At the end of the first semester, students choose one of three majors: Pharmaceutical Biophysics, Molecular Biophysics, Optometry.

During their studies, students deepen their knowledge and skills under the so-called shared subjects: advanced higher mathematics, mathematical foundations of computer modeling, including computer modeling laboratory, molecular biophysics. They gain knowledge of human anatomy, the impact of electrical and magnetic phenomena on living organisms as well as natural and artificial sources of radiation in the human environment. They have the opportunity to hear lectures on the most modern applications of nanomaterials in biology and medicine or on the physics of biomaterials.
