We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2nd International Financial Law Seminar entitled “Financing of Local Government in the European Union” which will be held on April 22, 2024 at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdansk and also online.
The purpose of the organized seminar, in addition to the exchange of ideas, views and scientific reflection and discussion of the issues of local government finance in the European Union, is to disseminate in international circles the achievements of Polish and European science, especially our partners Czech Republic and Slovakia, in the field of financial law and finance of local government units. We also hope that the seminar will provide an opportunity for cooperation with other scientific centers from different countries.
Participation in the seminar is chargeable. The fee for participation in the Seminar is PLN 600 per person which covers the cost of participation in the proceedings, seminar materials, coffee breaks and lunch.
Persons participating in the Seminar may additionally participate in the Fifth Conference on Local Government Finance under the title “Problems of local government units related to the application of financial law in the implemented financial policy” which will also be held on April 22, 2024 at the University of Gdansk and publish a paper in Polish in one of the conference journals (instead of FLR).
It is also possible to participate in the seminar in an online form. The cost of participation in this case is PLN 300 and includes participation in the seminar along with the opportunity to deliver and publish a paper.
The condition for publication is to meet the publishing conditions and receive two positive scientific reviews.
Important dates:
- by February 29, 2024 the participant should register his participation in the Seminar through the form available at the following link:
https://forms.office.com/e/Uvv6xTfBhd and pay the participation fee, - by March 31, 2024 the participant should send a signed copyright transfer agreement, which is available on the Seminar’s website (https://prawo.ug.edu.pl/centrum),
- submit the seminar paper in electronic form, conforming to the template available at https://czasopisma.bg.ug.edu.pl/index.php/flr/about/submissions and send it by email to: baltycka@prawo.ug.edu.pl.
The seminar will be conducted in English therefore, the paper and presentation must be written in English.
