the Department of Commercial Law and Business Law of the Faculty of Law UPJS cordially invites you to the international scientific conference of PhD students and young researchers titled “Innovative Law & Innovations in Law”.
The conference will be held in person in the premises of the Faculty of Law of UPJS in Kosice on 25 April 2024 in a conference room No. LA1Z01, Kováčska 26, 1st. floor.
For foreign conference participants, online participation through MS Teams is also possible.
The conference is thematically linked with innovations. The aim is to demonstrate how law can respond to innovation and how it evolves and changes under its influence. It is not just about innovations that are changing the world around us today and taking human knowledge where it has never been before. The law can also be innovative in its efforts to look at familiar things differently. This conference offers PhD students and young scientific researchers a unique space to showcase the innovations they are part of as they work within their research field:
- working on an innovative topic that is transforming law and legal scholarship;
- using an innovative approach to knowledge and education in law;
- offering innovative perspectives on traditional topics;
- have a desire to show and present an application and interpretive innovation in different areas of law that should be known and discussed.

Payment of the conference fee in the amount of 30 EUR by 31.03.2024. Payment instructions will be published on the conference website (http://inovacie.pravo.upjs.sk/).
Submission of conference paper by 31.03.2024 to the email: simona.rudohradska@upjs.sk Author instructions on paper preparation will be published on the conference website.
Submission of the final version of the conference paper after incorporation of comments from the review process by 31.05.2024.
The conference programme will be published on the conference website and sent via email to all active conference participants.
Conference papers will be published in a peer-reviewed conference proceedings in an electronic form. The paper that will be evaluated as the best in the review process will be recommended for publication in the faculty journal STUDIA IURIDICA Cassoviensia (https://sic.pravo.upjs.sk/ ), which is indexed in the Scopus database.
