FIDE, the biannual congress of the International Federation of European Law, is regarded as one of the most significant and prestigious conferences on EU law. The event typically features panel discussions on key topics across various areas of EU law, accompanied by the publication of comprehensive reports on these issues. Participants include academics, legal practitioners, and representatives from EU courts and other EU institutions.
From May 28 to May 31, 2025, the FIDE Congress will be organized by the Polish Association for European Law (Polskie Stowarzyszenie Prawa Europejskiego, PSPE). This event will be co-hosted by the city of Katowice and the University of Silesia.
As part of the FIDE Congress, the Young FIDE Conference will also take place. Dedicated to early-career researchers, Young FIDE will provide a platform to present research on the following pertinent topics:
– EU Emergency Law
– The EU Digital Economy: General framework (DSA/DMA) and specialized regimes
– Energy Solidarity and Energy Security: From green transformation to the EU’s crisis management
