A book authored by the University of Silesia’s scholar Mauro Arturo Rivera León, PhD, is among the 14 books nominated for the 2024 Book of the Year Prize by the International Forum on the Future of Constitutionalism.
On January 13th, the International Forum on the Future of Constitutionalism announced the fourteen books nominated for the 2024 Book of the Year Prize. The Forum, organized by Prof. Richard Albert from the University of Texas at Austin, relied on an expert committee formed by Profs. Antonia Baraggia, Berihun Gebeye, Masahiko Kinoshita, Virginie Kuoch, Emilio Meyer, Jaime Olaiz-Gonzázlez and Marieta Safta.
“Supermajorities in Constitutional Courts” (Routledge 2024, 235 pp) is a book authored by Dr. Rivera, Assistant Professor at the University of Silesia. It derives from his former Research project “Qualified Majorities in Counter-majoritarian Mechanisms: Towards a New Theory of Supermajorities in Judicial Review” financed by EEA Norway Grants.
