We are pleased to inform you that Professor Barbara Mikołajczyk was awarded the Prize of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for significant achievements in the field of scientific activity during the Polish Science Gala, which took place on February 19, 2025. The Polish Science Gala is held as part of the Polish Science Day celebrations established on the anniversary of the birth of astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus.
Professor Mikołajczyk researches global aging processes and related challenges for countries, societies and international institutions. In her monograph “Social Inclusion for Older Persons and Human Rights Law The Potential for Universal and European Instruments,” she analyzes the mechanisms of international law that have or could protect the human rights of older persons. Professor Mikołajczyk’s articles are also published in prestigious foreign scientific journals.
