Aleksander Brom

A graduate of Geophysics at the Faculty of Earth Sciences of the University of Silesia

The best graduate of the 2016/2017 academic year

Graduated with a grade point average of 4.94 and defended his thesis with an excellent grade. Aleksander Brom took part in the scientific project called Construction of seismometric network at the University of Silesia. He also participated in the conferences of the scientific circles of the Faculty of Earth Sciences Barbórka (2015,2016) and 6th IGSC in Prague 2015. He has publications to his credit, including Electrical Resistivity Measurements for waste dump characterization (2015). He conducted popular science activities, e.g. in the framework of the Silesian Festival of Science (2016). During his studies, he received a scholarship from His Magnificence Rector of the University of Silesia and a scholarship within the Geofuture project 2012-2015. He took part in the research with geophysical methods of the drifts in Cisna. Member of the Scientific Circle of Geophysicists of the University of Silesia PREM and European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers. He is passionate about microcontroller programming and motorcycle riding.
