Judyta Obrzeżgiewicz

A graduate of Philology with a specialization in applied language, French and English, with a translation program at the College of Individual Interdisciplinary Studies

The best graduate of the 2016/2017 academic year

She earned a grade point average of 4.88 and finished her studies with an excellent mark on her diploma. She has participated in scientific conferences, including “Spotkanie” at the University of Silesia in Katowice, 2016 (essay), “Tłumaczenia XXI wieku” at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (essay, 2016), “Brak” at the University of Silesia in Cieszyn (essay, 2016), “JĘZYK W POZNANIU” at the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan (essay, 2017). She has also been active in popular science, including helping to organize a conference entitled “Upiory, duchy, zjawy. Widmowe reprezentacje w popkulturze” at the Centre for Scientific Information and Academic Library in Katowice (2015). During her studies, she received the scholarship of His Magnificence Rector of the University of Silesia for the best students in 2014-2017 and the scholarship of the Mayor of the City of Świętochłowice for the best students for the academic years 2015-2017. Judyta Obrzeżgiewicz also has artistic achievements, e.g. 1st place in the Oriental dance competition “Łódzka Fabryka Orientu” in Lodz, 2015. She is also engaged in social activities, such as organizing a festival for students “Kopalnia dobra” organizing a Christmas campaign at the Faculty of Philology as part of the activity in the Christian mission “Generacja Plus”. In 2017, she received a distinction from His Magnificence Rector of the University of Silesia. She is interested in oriental dance, Christian theology, as well as travel, and foreign cultures.
