Julia Piotrowska

She obtained an average grade of 4.72 and an excellent grade on her diploma. Besides, she studied Information in e-society institutions and is currently a Ph.D. student at the Department of Sociolinguistics and Social Communication Practices at the Institute of Polish Language. Julia Piotrowska is an author of several scientific and popular science articles and proofreads publications, e.g. in the popular science journal on teaching “N@auczyciel”. She is interested in issues related to the language of the media, persuasion, and manipulation, the linguistic image of reality. In addition to linguistics, her research interests include media studies, sociology, and psychology. Professionally, she is a marketing writer, proof-reader, and editor, and recently became a member of the Polish Association of Social Communication. The great passion of the graduate is singing. She graduated from the L. Różycki State Music School of the First Degree in Gliwice. For many years she sang in choirs (e.g. Academic Choir of the UE in Katowice, Choir of PSM II degree, etc.), and now as a hobby, she deals with popular and church music.
