Magdalena Bartłomiejczyk jest absolwentką filologii angielskiej (specjalizacji tłumaczeniowej z językiem niemieckim) na Uniwersytecie Śląskim oraz studiów tłumaczeniowych (1 stopnia) na Uniwersytecie Wiedeńskim. W roku 2004 uzyskała doktorat, a w roku 2017 habilitację w dziedzinie językoznawstwa – stopnie nadane przez Uniwersytet Śląski. Obecnie uczy tłumaczenia konferencyjnego oraz prowadzi seminaria dyplomowe z dziedziny przekładoznawstwa. Jej zainteresowania naukowe obejmują badania nad tłumaczeniem ustnym, pragmatykę, socjolingwistykę oraz najnowsze tendencje rozwojowe polszczyzny. Od roku 2002 opublikowała ok. 30 artykułów naukowych oraz monografię.

Magdalena Bartłomiejczyk is a graduate of English Studies (translation programme with German) at the University of Silesia as well as translation and interpreting (1st stage) at the University of Vienna. She holds a PhD (2004) and a post-doctoral degree (2017) in linguistics from the University of Silesia, where she currently teaches conference interpreting and is responsible for diploma seminars in Translation Studies. Her scholarly interests include interpreting studies, pragmatics, sociolinguistics and the newest developments in the Polish language. Since 2002, she has authored over 30 scholarly articles and a book.
