I decided to study at the International Polish Studies due to its diverse range of offered courses. On one hand, they are related to Polish studies, and on the other hand, there are no such specific, difficult subjects as in Polish studies. During our studies, we have the opportunity to learn about Polish culture, history and literature, as well as improve our language skills. It is worth mentioning that the students come from different countries, which creates an international atmosphere in a small group, thanks to which we can broaden our horizons and enrich our knowledge. Lecturers at the University of Silesia are open and helpful. The Translation and Interpreting major provides the opportunity to learn translation theory in various fields, which is extremely important in the work of a translator.

Another thing that I like about studying at the University of Silesia is the fact that the Faculty of Humanities is located in the centre of Katowice. This provides good access from various places. In addition, the University of Silesia organises many events, courses and workshops, thanks to which the students can learn a lot.
