Digital Communication

The Digital Communication degree programme is at its core a symbiotic and synergistic combination of the competencies inherent in the humanities, exact sciences, and technical disciplines in the teaching process.

Students acquire communication, general, and digital knowledge and skills.

The programme of the first two covers issues of communication theory, digital humanities, language in social situations, variety in communication spaces, self-presentation, and image management, rhetoric, argumentation, persuasion, new media and cyberart basics, culture knowledge, fundraising, and errors and barriers in communication.

Digital block – programming, data analysis, basics of computer science, basics of computer graphics and graphic design, neuroscience, and audiovisual content design.

The studies are conducted in full-time mode only.

Programme catalogue – curriculum

Bachelor’s studies graduates are equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge relating to humanities, social sciences, and technical sciences, which allows them to analyse digital content, as well as achieve communication goals set out before them in a variety of social interactions (including digitally mediated). The knowledge imparted in the course of studies will enable graduates to efficiently create as well as interpret and integrate messages in cultural, media, and business activities using the latest developments in information technology. Graduates in Digital Communication, having a broad interdisciplinary knowledge and at the same time diverse practical skills, will be able to find employment in both the public and private sectors. The studies will prepare them to work in PR agencies, the media, creative sector companies, the IT sector, cultural institutions, and others.

Graduates will also have the opportunity to continue their education in 2nd cycle studies in fields related to IT, game design, management, communication, new media, and others.
