Rosalind Franklin – British biophysicist and structural X-ray specialist, co-discoverer of the DNA double helix
Did you know that…
Although DNA encodes all the information that makes up an organism, it is made up of only four elements: the nucleotides adenine, guanine, thymine, and cytosine. Your DNA can stretch from the Earth to the Sun and back ~600 times. Of the 3 billion base pairs in the human genome, only 0.1% are unique to us. You also share 85% of your DNA with a mouse, 40% with a fruit fly, and 41% with a banana.
Hint
Time to test your math skills. 1 + (DNA share with a mouse – DNA share with fruit fly)/3. The 2 digits separated with “/” of the result is the lab number in the H wing. Go toward this lab.
