We are happy to inform you that the National Science Centre has announced the list of scientists with funding within the MAPS Multilateral Academic Projects call.

MAPS Multilateral Academic Projects is a multilateral funding scheme of the Swiss National Science Federation (SNSF) that promotes multilateral collaborative research projects between researchers in Switzerland and their colleagues in Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Poland and Romania. Projects will receive funding from the Swiss Funds, under which Switzerland supports the development of several EU Member States (including Poland) based on arrangements with the European Union.

One of the projects is the one launched by Prof. Janusz Gluza from the Institute of Physics, entitled Bringing Theory and Experiments Together for Precision Neutrino Physics, with a total funding of CHF 774,883.

The Polish-Swiss-Croatian collaboration involves scientists and researchers from the University of Geneva (Switzerland) and Ruder Boškovic Institute (Croatia).

Prof. Gluza’s project was second in the ranking of 13 applications that received funding (the total number of applications in the group of exact sciences and engineering equalled 140).

We want to congratulate Prof. Gluza on this extraordinary feat and all the efforts put in, and we wish him many successes in implementing the project.
