Mauro Arturo Rivera León, PhD, DLitt, Assistant Professor at our faculty, is currently in Brazil for the 2025 Annual Conference of the International Society of Public Law (ICON•S).
He recently presented his paper at the panel Large-N Constitutionalism, which explored the challenges of quantitatively analyzing comparative constitutional law.
His paper “Constitutional Zugzwang: A Methodological Proposal Toward an Empirical Understanding of the Impact of Hyper-Amendments” outlines a framework for assessing whether rapid and repetitive constitutional amendments correlate with adverse normative, political, and economic outcomes.
