The 2026/2027 academic year will see the next edition of the international program “Programme in European Private Law for Postgraduates” (PEPP), aimed at outstanding doctoral students conducting research in the field of European private law.

We invite doctoral students from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia who are preparing their dissertations in the broadly defined field of private law (including, among others, competition law, corporate law, private international law, and intellectual property law) to review the detailed program offer available on the website www. pepp-home.eu and in the attached materials: PEPP Information Sheet 2026

Application Procedure:

Applications must be submitted electronically to the email address: monika.jagielska@us.edu.pl by the strict deadline of June 12, 2026.

Under the current edition of the program, one participant will be selected.

The application form and attachments must be prepared in English, which is the official language of the program.

Required documents:

  1. A scan or photo of the original or a copy of a diploma certifying completion of higher legal studies in the Republic of Poland (or foreign studies recognized in the Republic of Poland), or a copy of the diploma certified by the university or a notary;
  2. Curriculum vitae;
  3. A scan of a short cover letter explaining the motivation for participating in the program.

Stage I: Required documents:

To apply for the program, please submit the following documents:

  • a copy of your bachelor’s degree in Law;
  • a resume (CV) highlighting your academic achievements to date;
  • a cover letter.

Stage II: Interview

In the event of a large number of applications, the organizer reserves the right to conduct interviews with selected candidates; the interview will be held in English.

During the review of applications, the following will be evaluated in particular:

  • the candidate’s motivation and expectations regarding participation in the PEPP;
  • the contribution the candidate can make through participation in the program;
  • current plans and objectives of ongoing research.
