Wolters Kluwer Polska has published the latest book by Prof. Katarzyna Grzybczyk from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia, titled LEGO, Levi’s i Che Guevara. Krótka historia sporów prawnych o ikony popkultury” (“LEGO, Levi’s, and Che Guevara: A Brief History of Legal Disputes Over Pop Culture Icons”). The publication continues her research on the relationship between intellectual property law and culture.

The book illustrates how legal regulations function in specific social and economic contexts. An analysis of well-known brands, symbols, and pop culture phenomena allows us to understand how the law influences creative processes, market mechanisms, and the shaping of the collective imagination.

This is a comprehensive overview of the subject, in which intellectual property law appears both as an instrument of protection and as an area of potential tensions and disputes. The publication combines an academic perspective with an accessible narrative style, encouraging reflection on the role of law in contemporary culture.

The publication is available at the Law Library of the University of Silesia.
