Szkoła letnia JENNIFER2

23.06.2020 - 15:56 aktualizacja 23.06.2020 - 15:56

The JENNIFER2 consortium is conducting an online summer school on particle physics and detectors on 20-27 July. The school is intended primarily for students who are considering focusing on experimental particle-physics research for their graduate studies, particularly within the Belle II, T2K, or HyperK collaborations. The school program includes lectures on particle-physics theory, heavy-flavor physics, neutrino physic, particle detectors, and statistics in particle physics, as well as hands-on experimentation with electron-positron collision data collected by the Belle II detector and virtual tours of experimental facilities at the KEK particle-physics laboratory in Japan.
To be eligible, applicants must have between 3 and 4.5 years of university-level physics education. Strong command of English is required.

To apply, please send the following to  jennifer2-school@ml.post.kek.jp by the application deadline of 3 July:

1. A short cover letter explaining your interest in the JENNIFER2 Summer School. Specifically, what do you hope to learn at the School, and how might participating in the School be useful for the next step in your career? If you have not yet started your graduate studies, please also specify the physics graduate program in which you have enrolled or plan to enroll.

2. A recent CV (in english).

3. Your latest official academic score transcript (the official university document that lists your course grades) and an informally translated copy in English if the original is not in English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, French, German, Italian, Spanish.
