dr Marcelina Pietryga
Pracuje na stanowisku adiunkta w Instytucie Językoznawstwa. Absolwentka filologii angielskiej dwóch specjalności na Uniwersytecie Śląskim (specjalność: tłumaczeniowa z językiem niemieckim i specjalność: język biznesu) oraz studiów podyplomowych dla tłumaczy uwierzytelnionych i środowiskowych na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. W 2025r. obroniła z wyróżnieniem rozprawę doktorską pt. „The influence of translation directionality on the cognitive effort of trainee translators”. Jej zainteresowania badawcze obejmują proces przekładu, wysiłek kognitywny w przekładzie oraz kierunkowość. Jest również tłumaczem przysięgłym języka angielskiego.

Marcelina Pietryga, PhD
Marcelina Pietryga is an assistant professor at the Institute of Linguistics. She is a graduate of English Philology in two specialisations (Polish-English-German Translation and Interpreting and Foreign Languages for Business Purposes) at the University of Silesia and post diploma studies for sworn translators and community interpreters at the Jagiellonian University. In 2025, she defended her PhD thesis entitled “The influence of translation directionality on the cognitive effort of trainee translators.” Her research interests include translation and interpreting process, cognitive effort and directionality. She is a certified translator of English.
