FESTIVAL AIMS

• cultivating the singing tradition, developing interest in choral music
• promoting the composing achievements of Józef Świder and other composers connected with Cieszyn Silesia
• the exchange of artistic, cultural and educational experiences
• popularization of choral literature originated in various styles and epochs
• promotion of contemporary choral literature
• improvement of performance level among amateur choral groups
• confronting scientific research as well as artistic experiences

THE FRAME OF THE FESTIVAL EMBRACES:

1. National Scientific Conference “REPERTOIRE REQUEST”, 19^th of June 2026
2. International Choral Competition named after prof. Józef Świder – 20^th of June 2026.
   It will take place in the Concert Hall of the Cieszyn Centre of Culture (“Dom Narodowy”)
3. Festival concerts in the area of the Cieszyn Silesia – 19^th – 21^st of June 2026
4. Gala concert the Józef Świder International Festival of Music – 20^th of June 2026.
