It is hard to call International Polish Studies a degree programme. It is more like one large family whose members come from different countries, which allows International Polish Studies to stand out from other fields of study. Each class is a dialogue between the lecturer and the student, and with the acquisition of academic knowledge, we expand our knowledge about the world by listening to the stories of our colleagues. What is more, we all love language and culture. We have the opportunity not only to deal with theory, but also to experience it in practice thanks to the organisation of cultural events, such as the international film festival that has become a tradition and takes place every year.

In addition, the new, modern building of the Faculty of Humanities is so comfortable that participation in classes is really enjoyable – the space allows us not only to study effectively, but also to relax. Here, everything is tailored to the needs of the students: from cosy classrooms to bright relaxation zones. The academic library delights the eye – it is a paradise for those who write scientific papers, or are simply in love with literature.

Do I regret studying at the University of Silesia? When I came to Katowice, a new stage in my life began: I made wonderful friends, gained a lot of experience, and I managed to see the world from a different perspective, so the question seems rhetorical!
