Information Architecture
Degree programme covering topics related to the design of information spaces, which involves the development of naming (labelling) and content organisation systems, graphical representation of informational elements, as well as navigation and search systems on the Internet and intranet websites.
By combining humanities with social and technical issues, information architecture makes an ideal degree programme for people who represent a humanistic approach to the use of computer and information technologies.
During their studies, students acquire knowledge and skills in:
- gathering, structuring, processing, analysing and presenting data and information;
- searching and providing information from reliable sources using a variety of tools;
- designing and creating digital products using graphics editors and prototyping tools;
- planning information spaces suited to the individual needs of users, applying the principles of aesthetics and visual design.
