THE MOST IMPORTANT RESEARCH AREAS

  • Theoretical philosophy.
  • Practical philosophy.
  • History of philosophy.

Our goal is that by 2025 research in philosophy is carried out at the highest world level. It can be assumed — due to the character of the discipline — that this research will run in two directions. On one hand, it will fit into world trends (it is even possible that our research will initiate them), and on the other hand, they will still maintain a niche character, culminating in the research carried out by individual teams. We are unable to describe the scope of this research due to the fact that freedom of research is a rudimentary principle of scientific expression. However, it can be assumed, taking into account the achievements and priorities of employees included in the N number, and the strategy of the management of the Institute, that it will constitute an international research based on current contacts, as well as cooperation with new, world-renowned researchers.

The Institute of Philosophy has recognised the issue of international cooperation as a priority, which is best evidenced by the number of visiting professors conducting classes at our Institute, as well as the number of trips abroad. Therefore, publishing activity outside our country should significantly improve, in particular publications in renowned foreign journals.

The number of submitted grant applications should also increase, especially among people who have never done it before, or have only done it occasionally. The scientific policy of the Institute aims to create a grant path as the primary method of obtaining funds for scientific research.

The scientific potential of the discipline should include young people with great scientific potential and experienced researchers who, due to the title of professor (held or soon expected), can apply for European grants and unite young researchers.
