We are pleased to announce that Prof. Miron Lakomy has been reappointed to the Research Committee of the EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation (EUKH), which supports the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME), for another term extending until 2028.
The EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation is a European platform that brings together experts, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers working to prevent radicalisation leading to terrorism. EUKH supports the development and implementation of European Union policies and strategies based on scientific evidence and expert knowledge, while promoting cooperation between the research community, public institutions, and practitioners. Its activities contribute to the implementation of the 2020 EU Counter-Terrorism Agenda and strengthen international cooperation in the field of preventing radicalisation. The strategic directions of EUKH are determined by the Steering Board on Prevention of Radicalisation, a body composed of representatives of the European Union Member States.
The EUKH Research Committee consists of 15 researchers from European Union Member States who have established international reputations for their research on radicalisation and terrorism. The Committee’s primary role is to support the work of both EUKH and the European Commission by providing the latest scientific expertise and conducting research on radicalisation processes. I have served as a member of the EUKH Research Committee since the turn of 2024 and 2025.
More information about the EU Knowledge Hub, including the activities of the Research Committee, is available on the European Commission’s website:
