Dr. Mirosława Wielopolska-Szymura, Ph.D., completed a one-month research fellowship from June 4 to July 4, 2026, at Sungshin Women’s University in Seoul, which was founded in 1936. The university is a partner institution of the University of Silesia.
During her stay, the researcher conducted research on the Korean media and South Korea’s cultural diplomacy. The visit was organized in collaboration with Professor Hyung Min Lee, Dean of the Office of International and External Affairs, who is also a researcher in the Department of Media Communication. Ms. Hyunkyung Jung from the Office of International Affairs and Services provided organizational support.
The researcher was also invited to Sungkyunkwan University, founded in 1398 and the oldest university in South Korea, where she met with Professor Byeng-Hee Chang, Director of the Department of Media and Communication and the Department of Culture and Technology, as well as Dr. Youngju Han, a specialist in new media and technology.
