From 2009 to 2020, Professors: prof. Andrzej Noras, PhD, DLitt from the Institute of Philosophy and prof. Krystian Roleder, PhD, DSc, from the Institute of Physics of the University of Silesia regularly invited the university community to interdisciplinary seminars as part of the series “The issue of boundaries in science and philosophy”.
A fascinating journey through various border issues is inherently associated with posters by Tomasz Kipka, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences. The posters have always been much more than a mere illustration of these creative discussions.
On Thursday, 9 December 2021, a poster by the same author invited us to another journey, this time to space, ie to the discussion panel “Lem’s physics: Fiction then, Science now” on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Stanisław Lem’s birth. At the August Chełkowski Institute of Physics you can enjoy the exhibition of posters by prof. Tomasz Kipka from different editions of the series “The issue of boundaries in science and philosophy”, which the author dedicates to the memory of the late Professor Andrzej Noras.
The exhibition of posters is located on the campus of the University of Silesia in Chorzów, in the building of the Silesian Centre for Education and Interdisciplinary Research, on the mezzanine near the lecture hall P/0/05. The exhibition will be available to visitors until the end of January 2022.
