grafika

Studying the coronavirus pandemic impact on the world of values and valence in various spheres of human activity: family and home life, education and science, economy and finances, spirituality and religion, and social communication.

keywords: pandemic, world of values, overestimation, post-pandemic transformation, social and educational changes

The project planned research on the pandemic impact on the world of values and valence in various spheres of human activity. The research team includes experts in philosophy, sociology, communication and media studies, and culture and religion studies; thus, the team is able to carry out an extensive and interdisciplinary analysis of the major post-COVID 19 challenges.

Another aspect of the project is to overview the pandemic threat based on axiological research. The project also involves analyses of the pandemic interference in the human world of values and valence. The consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic are described in various fields of their impact, in particular within family life and social communication, economy and finances, as well as spirituality and religion. The research also ponders on the professional circumstances of teachers and the institution of school during the pandemic– including the behaviour and attitudes of children and the youth as a consequence of remote education–and the key role of the Internet as a medium in the period of pandemic threat. These issues are studied from different but mutually complementary points of view. In-depth theoretical (conceptual) analyses and empirical research are planned as well. In June 2022, a conference with discussion panels on the pandemic aftermaths visible in various spheres of human life was co-organised.
