COME2US PROJECT

University of Silesia in Katowice actively participates in the scientific life of its region, of Poland and of the World. It cooperates with higher education institutions all over the World and successfully realizes projects financed from the external sources both individually, and in consortia or partnerships. Thanks to that the internationalization of the university gradually increases. The university constantly conduts the activities aiming at creation of the best work conditions for foreign researchers and academic teachers, among others, by execution and further implementation of the Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment of Researchers, or increasing the transnational and international cooperation as a part of the European Research Area.

Among the projects realized by the University of Silesia four are a part of the Welcome to Poland Programme. One of them was ”Come2US – professionalization and centralization of support of the foreign employees of the University of Silesia in Katowice”. The project financed by the Polish National Agency of Academic Exchange (NAWA) as a part of Welcome to Poland programme.

Its aim was to centralize serving of the foreign employees, to facilitate the access to the necessary information and support, promote Polish culture, and integrate the foreign employees both with one another and with the whole academic community. One of the project’s tasks was creation of the dedicated space – both physical and virtual, where they can find the support they need. The project has been successfully completed on the 31st of May 2023. This website is one of the results of the Come2US project.
