We are pleased to invite you to an engaging lecture by Prof. Sandra Tavares on important issues in criminal law and the protection of victims of violence.

Prof. Sandra Tavares is a highly regarded lecturer and researcher affiliated with the Católica Research Centre for the Future of Law at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Catholic University of Portugal). Her academic profile is distinguished by a valuable combination of law and psychology, which enables her to conduct a multidimensional analysis of justice systems.

In her academic work, Prof. Sandra Tavares focuses primarily on criminal and procedural law. She is actively involved in research projects concerning the protection of vulnerable groups, with a particular focus on victims of domestic violence. Her approach combines legal analysis with an understanding of the psychological mechanisms at play for participants in legal proceedings.

She is the author of numerous publications that serve as an important reference for lawyers in Portugal. In her articles and presentations, she frequently addresses difficult topics such as the status of victims in the criminal justice system, women’s rights, and the ethical aspects of the administration of justice.
