• Shakespeare studies, reception and influence of Shakespeare’s work in England;
• narrative theory, selected problems and aspects of narratology (time, mystery and suspense, fabula and sjuzhet, focalization) in application to selected authors and works;
• the weird/fantastic story, supernatural elements of the represented world, the detective story and the crime novel in Britain; the Gothic, terror and horror;
• philosophical aspects of the literary work (layered structure of the literary work of art, ontology of the represented world, aspects of reception).
