Jestem absolwentem filologii angielskiej Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego i studiów doktoranckich na Wydziale Filologicznym UJ. Moja praca doktorska, obroniona w 2012 roku, była poświęcona twórczości J.M. Coetzeego. Jestem autorem książek Between Illusionism and Anti-Illusionism: Self-Reflexivity in the Chosen Novels of J.M. Coetzee (2013) oraz “Enactments of Life”: The Short Stories of Nadine Gordimer (2023). Opublikowałem artykuły na temat twórczości autorów południowoafrykańskich (J.M. Coetzee, Nadine Gordimer, Damon Galgut), brytyjskich (Iris Murdoch, William Golding) oraz irlandzkich (John Banville, Anne Enright, Colm Tóibín). Mój aktualny projekt badawczy dotyczy literatury południowoafrykańskiej.

I am a graduate of English Studies of the Jagiellonian University, where I also completed my PhD. My doctoral thesis, defended in 2012, was devoted to the works of J.M. Coetzee. In the years 2008-16 I was a lecturer at the State School of Higher Education in Oświęcim. I have been an assistant professor at the University of Silesia in Katowice since 2016: first in the Institute of English Cultures and Literatures, and currently in the Institute of Literary Studies. I am the author of Between Illusionism and Anti-Illusionism: Self-Reflexivity in the Chosen Novels of J.M. Coetzee and “Enactments of Life”: The Short Stories of Nadine Gordimer (2023).
