European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR)

The European Consortium for Political Research is a prestigious European association established in 1970. It currently has 350 institutional members from over 50 countries. ECPR members – students, including doctoral students, and academic workers – cooperate as part of research projects implemented within the community. ECPR supports and initiates international cooperation through various initiatives, including conferences, training, courses, methodological schools, prestigious publications, high-scoring journals and awards granted to outstanding researchers within the community. In 2016, the University of Silesia joined the international ECPR community. This allowed our Faculty to obtain a number of benefits, including:

  • open access to high-scoring journals: European Political Science Review (100 points) and European Political Science (online) (40 points);

  • a 30% discount on books in collaboration with Oxford University Press;
  • the possibility of actively operating in specialised thematic Standing Groups;
  • the possibility of participating in panels initiated by the ECPR during international conferences (APSA, IPSA, etc.).
